Growth Series Part 3: Consistency

“If you are persistent, you will get it. If you are consistent, you will keep it.”

Consistency goes hand in hand with being disciplined.

So, why is consistency important?
Consistency develops routines and builds momentum. It forms habits that become almost second nature. If you are not consistently focused on achieving a goal, you will likely fall back into old habits or lose interest. Being consistent is the difference between failure and success

Practical steps to being consistent:
  1. Make a conscious decision to being committed.
  2. Remember why you started. Remind yourself the importance of performing the task and the ultimate goal for which you are doing it.
  3. Have a plan of action. When the objectives are organised in your mind and on paper, it is easier to work through them.

Always remember, consistency will occur when you keep the final outcome in mind rather than your current emotions and situation.  DO IT, EVEN IF YOU DON’T ‘FEEL LIKE IT’!
